Steps of Undergraduate Research (URS/TDK)
Topic selection
Browse the available research topics and select an area that genuinely interests you. You can search the available topics by keyword, institute or department, or by the name of a project supervisor.
Research work
Contact the supervisor of your chosen topic and discuss the possibility of joining the research project. Together with your supervisor, you can define the research objectives, methods, and tasks and begin your scientific work.
Registration
If you decide to continue working on the project in the longer term, register in the URS/TDK system to become an official URS/TDK member. Undergraduate research experience can be an advantage when applying for scholarships, research opportunities, and PhD programmes. Registered members may also participate in general assemblies and vote on matters concerning the operation of the Undergraduate Research Society.
Further opportunities during your research
As your research progresses, additional opportunities become available to present your results, earn academic credits, and become involved in teaching activities.
Students can present their research at the annual local URS/TDK Conference, usually held in spring. Outstanding presentations may qualify for participation in the National Scientific Students' Associations Conference (OTDK), which is organised every two years.
Registered URS/TDK members may enrol in the Undergraduate Research courses for pharmacy students and receive academic credits for their research activities.
Students who also participate in the teaching activities of an institute or department may apply for a demonstrator scholarship.
